Lobby Pick-Up & Curbside Delivery

Lobby Pick-Up & Curbside Delivery for Holds starting on June 1st!

The Edwards River Public Library District is excited to announce Lobby Pick-Up and Curbside Delivery will be available on Monday, June 1st!

For Lobby Pick-Up and Curbside Delivery, patrons must place materials on hold through our online catalog (https://alsi.sdp.sirsi.net/client/en_US/MercerCarnegiePLD) or by calling the library. Staff will begin accepting hold requests over the phone on Monday, June 1st. Patrons are asked to only visit the library after they have been notified that their holds are ready for pick-up.

To pick up holds, visit the library's front desk with your library card. Patrons who would like materials delivered to their car can park at the library and call (309) 582-2032.  Please have your card ready. Staff will confirm your card number, ensure your items are ready, and make sure there are no account issues. A staff member will then deliver your materials to your vehicle.

Curbside Delivery will be available Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10 AM - 4 PM, Saturday 10 AM - 12 PM

Lobby Pick-Up will be available Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10 AM - 6 PM, Saturday 10 AM - 12 PM

Curbside & Lobby Pick-Up will be available Tuesday and Thursday by appointment only.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What can I place on hold for pick up or curbside delivery?

All material owned by Edwards River Public Library District. Items owned by other libraries cannot yet be held for pick up or delivery.

Is there a limit to how much I can put on hold?

You will be allowed to put up to 5 books on hold and 3 DVDs.

What should I know about visiting the library for pick up?

Patrons may only visit the library after they have been notified that their holds are ready.  Anyone entering the library must wear face coverings and maintain social distancing. We encourage large groups, including families with small children, to use Curbside Delivery.

To comply with the state's Phase 3 guidelines, some library services are temporarily restricted including shelf browsing, computer use, room reservations, public copier, and newspapers. We hope to restore these services as soon as safely possible.

How do I return items?

All items must be returned to the library’s outdoor return.

Can I use Edwards River Library if I do not have an Edwards River Library card?

Not at this time. We’re asking all patrons to use their home library for holds and check-outs.
