A Visit from Jason, the Mad Mixture Scientist

Our Summer Reading Program involves more than just reading; it also involves watching things go up in smoke.

We got all the way through the show
without fire trucks or police.



On June 20, we met in the library basement for the Mad Mixture Science Program. Jason, a our visiting scientist, brought a lab-ful of excitement from the Grout Museum in Waterloo, Iowa.




Tyler didn't need much help.








Jason needed help with some of the more difficult experiments. Fortunately, Tyler Campbell  was willing to help.

the whole show without snakes....













We've got more entertaining events planned for this month at the library. They're free and open to the public.

Lobby Pick-Up & Curbside Delivery

Lobby Pick-Up & Curbside Delivery for Holds starting on June 1st! The Edwards River Public Library District is excited to announce Lobby Pick-Up and Curbside Delivery will be available on Monday, June 1st! For Lobby Pick-Up and Curbside Delivery, patrons must place materials on hold through our online catalog (https://alsi.sdp.sirsi.net/client/en_US/MercerCarnegiePLD)  or by calling the library. Staff will begin accepting hold requests over the phone on Monday, June 1st. Patrons are asked to only visit the library after they have been notified that their holds are ready for pick-up. To pick up holds, visit the library's front desk with your library card. Patrons who would like materials delivered to their car can park at the library and call (309) 582-2032.  Please have your card ready.
