Mercer Carnegie Library Awarded Grant

The Mercer Carnegie Library has been awarded a $125,000 grant from the state of Illinois.   Jesse White, Illinois Secretary of State and the State Librarian, announced the Mercer Carnegie Library as one of the recipients on May 22, 2018.

The Mercer Carnegie Library was one of the 15 recipients of the Live and Learn Construction Grant, which assists libraries to pay for improvements.

This grant money will help construct the new library which will be located at the corner of 5th Avenue and East Main Street in Aledo, Illinois.
