Part Time Janitorial Position

Hours: 1 night or morning a week (3-5 hours) depending upon availability

Position Details:

The Edwards River Public Library District is seeking a responsible and consistent team member to take care of our facilities and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all basic cleaning in the library - cleans floors and rooms including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash, and replacing liners, etc.
• Cleans restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals.
• Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Performs additional duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Highly responsible & reliable
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to use a variety of cleaning products and equipment
• Able to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision

Required:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Previous cleaning experience a plus

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and move around for an extended period of time
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
